PDF existing text extraction

Extract existing PDF text locally

Read an admitted unencrypted PDF in a disposable browser worker and download its complete existing text as a fixed-name UTF-8 TXT file.

Existing text only

This is not OCR. Scanned image-only pages may produce no text. Reading order, spacing, font encoding and complex layouts can change the extracted text. Numbered boundaries include blank and image-only pages; hidden, invisible, cropped or off-page text can differ from visible content. This is not a redaction check or complete-content inventory. It does not preserve document layout, tables, images, accessibility structure or signatures, and does not verify language accuracy or remove hidden data.

Complete output and bounded preview

The preview contains at most the first 4,096 complete UTF-8 bytes. The download contains the whole admitted output; an overflow refuses the operation rather than exporting a prefix. One source is limited to 100 MiB and 500 pages, with 250,000 text items, 5,000,000 UTF-16 text units and 20,000,000 UTF-8 output bytes. Smaller documents may still be refused by time or resource limits, including complex PDFs and external font/resource requirements.

Private lifecycle

One original 30-second action includes acquisition, extraction and complete output preparation. The input read is capped at 10 seconds. Accepted output remains for review until source change, Cancel, Clear or workflow retirement. Replacement waits for the exact original logical cleanup channels; uncertainty blocks further acquisition. Termination API return does not prove native drain or physical erasure. Downloaded files remain on your device.

Inputs, text and results remain in the private browser workspace. No remote conversion, nested worker, OCR or language model is selected. Existing encoded-text extraction is one bounded PDF workflow. The broader PDF and WebUT capabilities remain in construction.
